School Days

This is a glimpse into some of Aubrey's first grade days. She loves, loves, loves her teacher, her class and her school.

These are her sweet school friends. They love riding to school together when they get to.

Somehow these girls are always matching.

Axel is 5 years old!

Axel turned 5 on March 4, 2015. 5 going on 12. He can keep up with the big kids, take care of the little kids, and out run his parents. His independence really grew this year. He is still our strong yet sensitive guy. He loves to play with friends, loves trains, cars, trucks. dogs, animals, bugs, sticks, biking, swimming (really anything moving), he loves legos, and he really LOVES Zada. He still naps, although this spring we are starting to do naps every other day to start transitioning him for kindergarten. He really is an amazing kid and we are so blessed to spend our days with him.

 Happy Birthday Breakfast
 Happy Birthday Dinner
Happy Birthday Day at the MOA

 Happy Birthday Lunch at Hardrock

8 minutes in and out of Ikea to get Happy Birthday train tracks.

Happy Birthday Snow Tubing!!! Lucas took ALL the neighborhood kids for an exciting day of snow tubing.

Spring Break 2015

Holy moly! Where did the time go?! I guess it goes fast with four kids. I haven't updated my blog in a few months and I contemplated being done with it. But I decided that this is my way to keep track of the days that FLY by so fast. I need a visual journal to help me remember. So I am going to attempt to keep it going. Because I think remembering is important.

Psalm 111:3 Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever. 4 He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate. 5 He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever.

This was spring break 2015. It was so beautiful and so much fun!! All the neighborhood kids were out playing, biking, scooting around.

My baby girl. We are so in love with this little lady!

Disney 2015

Our 2015 trip to Orlando Florida was magnificent.
Day 1: Sunday January 25th. Travel Day.
We left the house at 4:50 AM. Navigating an airport with 5 kids, 6 backpacks, two strollers, one carseat, and four suitcases was not an easy task. Parent who travel with kids deserve metals of some kind. The kids did fantastic!!!!! Even with a 3.5 hour delay we were so impressed with them. We got to the airport around 5:15 AM and didn't depart until after 10 AM.

The kids made the best of our 3.5 hour delay and made new friends, ran around, and played at the airport playground.

The plane finally!

We were extremely excited to get on the Magical Express.

And one last ride to our room.

After the Magical Express delivered our luggage we set up the beds and the kids passed out!

Day 2: Monday January 26th. Time to explore!

It was cold but the kids wanted to swim so bad. So after breakfast we let them.

Theses two were always holding hands.

It was a pretty cold swim. Aizer kept asking to go home and take a hot tubby.

Zada and I stayed in the shade most of the time. I got to spend many hours holding my baby while watching my big kids have the time of their life.

That night we explored Downtown Disney for a little while.

 Still cold.

Aizer was flirting with the lady that was making the candy. It was pretty adorable.

This was the moment the girls realized their tongues were blue. Hilarious.

Day 3: January 27th. Downtown Disney and the BBB!

We stopped at our resort park on the way to Downtown Disney.

Before there Magical make-overs.

Everything is so much fun and so exciting at Disney.

Aubrey with her Fairy-God-Mother-In-Training:))

This was such a fun experience and very much worth the money!
Actually we paid less than $20 for Axel and he got the sword, shield, comb, and hair done. We then had to buy the sword and shield for Aizer because he wasn't old enough to get his hair done and it was over $20. The girls got to keep everything. The make-up, bags, combs, nail polish, face gems, sashes and more. So thankful we got all 3 kids an appt.

Zada was a perfect angel the whole trip!!!

Dancing in the street.

We ate lunch at T-Rex. Aizer was terrified, Axel loved it!

Shopping at Lego land.

The Princess Parade!
I cried watching the girls enjoy this. It was really special.

The girls just talked and talked and talked and laughed and laughed and laughed.
They were always 50 feet behind in their own little fairy tale world.

Axel picked out a snake for his big purchase.

It was a big day at Downtown Disney.

Day 4: Wednesday January 28th. Pool day!!!!!
We went down to the Paddock pool right away in the morning. Then we packed up around noon and headed to another pool where we had lunch and then stayed until it was almost dark.

 Lunch break.

Axel made a new friend, the big kids played Marco Polo, bingo, boats, and Disney trivia. It was a perfect day!

Aizer's hide and seek spot. :)

Day 5: Thursday January 28th. Magic Kingdom!!

The castle. Although you can't tell from the picture the kids were very excited to see the castle.

The girls LOVED meeting Ariel!

Zada's first ride at Magic Kingdom.

The girls danced everywhere. We call it the "I am so excited to be in Disney Dance" or just the "Disney Dance" for short. :)

Still being a perfect little angel.

Quick stop for a stroller repair. Thank you Disney Cast Member!

This is Aubrey telling me about how fun a ride was. I just loved her joy and pleasure in everything. She noticed everything and enjoyed every moment. Lucas and I got our little girl back for a while. They grow up so fast and can lose their imaginations right before your eyes. It was a spectacular feeling to see her come to life in this way.

 Parade time!

Lucas was off getting ice cream with the girls when I snapped this picture. I showed it to him later and said don't let this fool you they didn't stay like this long. See that little elbow oh so close to Axel well after it hit him they went at it. And when I say "went at it" I mean they started fighting. It was a little cute and a little frustrating.

Aizer was unbelievably adorable as he waved to cast members in the parade.

We were all very impressed with the parade.

The girls loved meeting the Princesses.

Naps. Such good kiddos.

More rides.

This is when we stopped to assess how our vacation was going...
Eat. Check.
Play. Check.
Shop. Check.
So far a success.
After 12 hours and 14 rides the kids FINALLY got to go on the much anticipated Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! We saved the best for last. The girls LOVED it! It was the perfect way to end our day at Magic Kingdom.

After 12 hours and 15 rides/attractions the girls were still giggling and Axel was passed out!

Day 6: Friday January 30th. Pool and Nap Day.

My little 4 month old beauty.

We swam until it got dark.

Day 7: Saturday January 31st. Shopping and Pool day.
Aubrey really got into pin trading this year. It was fun to watch.

 Oh the joys of water!

Back to the pool for the last time!

Day 8 Sunday : Travel day. We packed as much as possible the night before and finished what seemed to be a never-ending task that morning. The Bell Hop picked us up at 9:15 and we headed back to the airport.

The kids did so great on the way back home. I was impressed.
This was our 8th day and 4th hour of traveling and they were still giggling.

We got home to a very clean house and dinner all ready for us. Our dear friend Renee really blessed our night. It was a good way to come home after a long trip.

Start to finish this trip was great. We feel very blessed.
